Basilica of Gethsemane

The Basilica of Gethsemane is fronted by the Garden of Gethsemane. The interior of the Basilica portrays the events leading to the arrest of Jesus Christ.

The Garden of Gethsemane is situated at the foot of Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. According to the Gospels in the New Testament, Jesus underwent agony in the garden and was arrested here. This is a sacred site to Christians.

Note: Visiting Hours Summer (April to September) 08:00am to 06:00pm; Winter (October to March) 08:00am to 05:00pm. No entry is permitted 10mins before closing time.
