Inside the Old City

Dormition Abbey is said to mark the spot where Mary, mother of Jesus, died. The Abbey now belong to the Benedictine Order in Jerusalem.

David’s Tomb is the location where some believe to be the burial place of biblical King David of Israel.

Church of Nativity was undergoing some restoration works when we visited the site. This site has been a major Christian pilgrimage destination since its creation, as the birthplace of Jesus.
