Athens in a package
I feel that the best way to get to the city centre is by Metro and alighting at Acropoli. I had lots of plans to visit churches in Greece and take photos. However, things I learnt about Greek churches.
Holy Church of Transfiguration of the Saviour is a Greek Orthodox church. Beautiful both outside and inside. We were extremely fortunate that it was open when we visited.

Holy Church of Saint Catherine (also known as Holy Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary) is a Greek Orthodox church and one of the oldest churches in Athens.

Tip: Entry to this church is free. However, photography is a no-no. A lady in the church is very alert – the moment you point your camera at the altar from the lobby, she ushers you to stop.
Holy Church of Saint Irene is a Greek Orthodox church which is built in the 1800s and was the first Cathedral of Athens. Not always open but again we are fortunate that it was opened when we were there.
