Holy Land Tour ~ Pamukkale

Travertines of Pamukkale

Pamukkale, means “cotton castle” in Turkish, contains hot springs and terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water.

The ancient city of Hierapolis was built on top of this white “castle”. People have bathed in its pools for thousands of years and was formerly a healing centre where doctors used the hot thermal springs as treatments for their patients.

    1. Thank you for your comment. It would be appreciated that in posting this, you also post your doubts rather than leave it as an opened-ended. Kind regards

If you are looking for Hot Springs, I would suggest my posts on Japan. If you are looking at archaeological sites like Hierapolis, I would suggest the following:
Europe 2017 – Israel – Tel Megiddo, Beit She’An National Park, Masada in Judaen Desert, Jerash in Jordan and Petra in Wadi Musa.

Please tell me before I suggest Europe 2019 and the rest.

      Thank you
