Meteora Sunset Tour
There are a number of Meteora tours. We picked a Meteora Sunset Tour that would pick us from our accommodation in the late afternoon.
I would suggest purchasing a tour as the local guides here know this place better than anyone and will bring you places beyond the beaten path.
Point to Note: Photography may not be allowed in some of the monasteries or churches. The nuns are much more up-to-date with technology than you think. Do not let them catch you with your camera if you intend to quietly snap a photo. They care very little about your lens and will not hesitate to force their fingers on your lens to stop you.
It is advisable that you read the prints on what is included in the tour. Entrance fees to one of the monastery and the Byzantine church of Virgin Mary are not included – entrance fees usually between nominal of 2Euros to 3Euros per person.
