Walk into town from the Guesthouse

The air at Kalambaka was so fresh that we decided to walk all the way to town in the morning. Approximately 2.2km from the Guesthouse to town centre with a number of stop offs for photography as we strolled. Morning in the month of May was not hot nor humid with nice cool breeze.

Just like any town centre away from the capital, Kalambaka town centre is peaceful and very much just catered to the locals for their daily lives. The view of Meteora in the background was spectacular.

Not sure if it was our luck or some locals feeling the pride that tourists admiring their garden. While shooting a photo of a beautiful rose towering over the fence of a residence, the owner spotted us. He came out to cut the roses for us and also asked his companions to get us some chocolates. My guess, he seem happy that someone is admiring his garden.
