Pisa, Home of the Leaning Tower

While staying at Lucca, we took a day trip to Pisa. It takes about 30 minutes from Lucca to Pisa by Trenitalia followed by 15minutes walk from the station.

It was like a dream come true. I finally got to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Alright for one, it is called Pisa and not Pizza. Got that alright for sure.

Getting there: A shorter way is disembarking the train at Pisa San Rossore station and walking through the neighbourhood towards the Anicent Walls of Pisa. Visit Trenitalia.com for Train Schedules and Ticket pricing – https://www.trenitalia.com/

Arriving along Piazza Daniele Manin and entering the grounds at Porta Nuova Pisa is like opening the present ~ The wrapper then the huge surprise.

  • Battistero di San Giovanni (Baptistery of St John)
  • Cattedrale di Pisa (Pisa Cathedral)
  • Torre di Pisa (Leaning Tower of Pisa)
