We traveled by Flix bus from San Giovanni Rotondo to Rome, arriving by Roma Tiburtina.
During our stay in Roma, we ventured to San Marino.
Looking at the map, it was easy to consider every town and city within the borders of Italy as an Italian municipal or province. I never knew that San Marino is not part of Italy. That’s something new to jot.
San Marino is a microstate and one of the world’s oldest republics to retain much of its historic architecture. In fact, the Historic Centre of San Marino on Mount Titano has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
