It has been more than 6 years from the last time we traveled to this beautiful Land of the Rising Sun.

I have all praises to shower on the Japanese people. Their hospitality has been awesome and something we have been missing over the past years.

We arrived at Narita Terminal 1 and redeemed our JR tickets at the JR Office. The JR counter staff was awesome – lots of patience and very helpful in getting me the reservations I needed though she understood very little English.

Tip: JR office counter is a level below the Arrival Hall at Terminal 1.

Hotel MONday Premium Okachimachi is situated between Ueno and Akihabara. It is optional to book rooms with or without breakfast. I have not seen the spread this hotel offers for breakfast but chosen to venture outside for what the locals would have daily.

Tip: The privacy of Guests is top priority at this hotel – Guests need to tap their room access cards in the elevators to access other floors. The Sky bar is situated at the 14th floor of the hotel. The Bar offers a very good view of Tokyo’s Sky Tree. There are 3 jars of Sake from different prefectures and of different ages. Guests can try the Sake free.
