Albergue O cruceiro was not as I expected. “Albergue” means “shelter for pilgrims”. Impression of bunks crossed my mind for simple reasons I hate bunks with a passion.
Our triple room reasonably sized but exceeded my expectations. What I love most is the cleanliness and privacy – only guests allowed to enter through the door leading to the corridor to access the guest rooms.
This Albergue has outdoor tables and chairs ready for pilgrims to stop for a meal. It deserves its rating of 8.5/10 in Booking.com and complemented for its bunks in separate rooms being hotel-like.
Ventas de Narón to Palas de Rei is approximately 11.8km with average descend from 712m to 559m in altitude. Shorter but no easier with lesser drinking water fountains.
