Palas de Rei is considered as a town in the province of Lugo, Galicia in northwestern Spain. Early Spring of Palas de Rei is very windy and drizzles occasionally. Temperature drops in the evening below 20 degrees Celsius.
Church of Santiago de Albá located right by the entrance of town. It is not possible for any pilgrims who walk according to the stonemarkers to miss this church.


Note: Holy Mass is at 7pm in the evening. Pilgrims can get their seals while the church doors are open or after the evening mass. Pilgrims not stopping for the night in Palas de Rei will pass this church on the way to Pilgrim’s Crossing. Church of Santiago de Albá is a significant landmark in Palas de Rei.
