The walk from Palas de Rei to Melide is approximately 14.4km full of uphills and downhills from 578m altitude to 410m.
Follow the Camino stone marker and trek through Pilgrim’s Crossing. At the foot of the Pilgrim Crossing stands the statue Estatua de Santiago Apóstol peregrino and the coat of arms of Palas de Rei.

Tip: It is not worth it turning into the curved minor road at Curuxas (Coord. 42.871632, -7.883129). Best to continue along the narrower road shoulder of N-547.
