Palas de Rei

Personally, I enjoy the food at Restaurante Folgueria. The restaurant is located along Av. Compostela and opens from Monday till Saturday at 12 noon till 11pm. The service was excellent. I decided to buy my parents a meal as a celebration that my prayers were answered and I survived half the journey. The Senorita was so patient with us and found us hilarious because we could not understand the menu except Ensalada. Fortunately, I took a photo from the net what I was craving. We ended up having two rounds of the beautiful grill loin.

The town of Palas de Rei seems deserted in most of the photos though statistics indicated that there was approximately 3,268 inhabitants. For simple reason that while we arrived there for our night stay, it was early Spring in Europe. The wind conditions for Palas de Rei at early Spring tends to be from light cold breeze to extremely windy with slight rain with threatening clouds.

My suggestion is that it pays to walk pass a shop and look in from the outside rather than giving it a pass from far. The shops may be open but doors shut due to the wind conditions.

I would consider visiting Palas de Rei again as I have missed out visiting Castillo de Pambre. I read that the castle was breathtaking.
