Scenic Camino Walk: A Salceda Arrival and Beautiful Forests

For once during the entire Camino, our accommodation is not along the route that we will are walking.

Casa das Corredoiras is approximately 10,4km by car from Arzúa. The accommodation provides free transportation from Arzúa. This is a family-run business where generations contribute to its success in chores allocated. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. As the walls in the room is part brick and part plaster, it can be quite cold during the night.

Today’s walk will be relatively comfortable of 11,3km with uphill average altitude of 129m and average downhill of 159m of through forests of tall trees and over prairies.

Daughters of Saint Mary of Providence along Rua do Carme, Arzua is where you can obtain your first seal of the day.

Preguntono is an area where the dirt path from Arzua leads to the crossing of N-547 through an underpass.

We cross a tiny village, A Peroxa, to a beautiful forest of oaks and chestnut trees.

Crossing the small village of Boavista to get to A Salceda. I love crossing the stream but loathe the path of the village.

I can’t help but secretly feeling happy about it as I managed to overwalk a group of teenagers on a fieldtrip. They were held back for one simple reason – they were just too busy talking that their teacher gave up and far ahead to wait for them at the next stop. They seem hardly bothered by it 😆

Beat the clock. Arrived at A Salceda before check-in time.
