Asahikawa experience (Cont’)

Experience 2: Y’s Hotel Asahikawa-Ekimae. This Hotel is still fairly new in the hotel industry. Reception is on the 3rd Level. Y’s Hotel provides unlimited free icepop, coffee/tea and soft drinks daily from 2:00pm to 9:00pm

The Hotel is located in an ideal location. From JR Asahikawa Station, the Hotel is best accessible through the North Exit (East). Sheltered pathway from the station to the hotel.

AEON Departmental store is directly opposite the Hotel. There is a large food court at the Ground floor road level of the departmental store. Prices are competitive and a bowl of Genghis Khan rice bowl at 990yen for quite a large serving. Unless you have a sweet tooth for drinks, water is free of charge from the self-serve dispenser.

Passengers disembarkation from the Airport Shuttle bus at Bus Stop 9 in front of the Asahikawa JR Station. This stop is also directly in front of the Hotel and along the sheltered pathway of Asahikawa Bus terminal.

Dohokubus ticketing office is situated next door to Hotel Y and facing Bus Stop 8 – the stop for boarding the Sunrise bus for Akanko. Click here for more information on my experience with Dohukubus for Akanko.
