Asahikawa experiences (Cont’)

Experience 3: Heiwa-dori Kaimono Koen, Japan’s first permanent pedestrian-only street, was opened in 1972. The Street stretches approximately 1 km from the JR Asahikawa Station to the north and lined with shops and beautify outdoor sculptures.

Due to overnight severe snowing and slight rain, the middle of the Pedestrian Mall is covered with slippery snow while the beautiful Christmas lighting brings a magical feel of Christmas Wonderland.
