Lake Akan Town

This is our 3rd trip to Lake Akan and our first after Covid19. Like many parts of Japan, there are quite a number of changes here.

I believe that the Resort Town usually would bustling with activities at the peak of each Season. This is our first time arriving at Lake Akan prior to the Lake being frozen for winter activities. Tourism continues within the townsite but is at its lowest point that store owners are standing outside asking tourists to enter their store. 

Tip: Secure your hotel reservations at least 6 to 9 months in advance for good rates and preferred hotel. It is a common sense but I still see that question being asked on social media.
