Departure from Lake Akan

There is a shuttle bus which is sponsored by Tsuruga Travel Services that runs daily between Lake Akan Hot Springs to Sapporo or Minami Chitose. The pick-up point for Tsuruga Wing is at the Hotel’s lobby at the designated time.

We made our reservation for the Shuttle service when we secured our reservation for the hotel last year. We finalised the reservation and paid for the shuttle fares when we checked-in at the Hotel.

As it was quite a low time during our visit, we were chartered in a 8-seater vehicle instead from Lake Akan Hot Springs to Sapporo via Ryugetsu Sweetpia Garden, Otofuke-cho. There was a break of approximately 40mins to an hour rest before continuing the journey to Sapporo.

The drop-off at Sapporo is at the JR Sapporo Station North exit Taxi stop. There was some construction going in the area between the Public bus stop and Taxi stop. 

Tip: The slope ramp is located next to the stairs to the station building. There is about 10 step to climb but with heavy luggage, it is best to use the sloped ramp. If alighting at the Taxi Stop, walk towards the exit point of the Taxi stop to locate the sloped ramp.
